Thinking of fostering in Kent?
Choose Diagrama?

There are many different fostering agencies throughout Kent, all with different values and ways of working. With so much choice, it can be difficult to know which one is suitable for you and will offer you the exceptional support you deserve as you embark on your fostering journey. It’s vital to feel like you have comprehensive, professional input when you need it. Fostering is incredibly rewarding but comes with challenges. You need confidence that your agency has your back and will be by your side if something unexpected happens. If you are considering fostering in Ashford, Canterbury, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Dover, Faversham, Whitstable, Swanley or anywhere else across Kent, Diagrama’s foster care team will be there for you – 24/7, 365 days a year.

Supporting our foster carers is our top priority at Diagrama Fostering in Kent

Many foster agencies in Kent are commercial, which means they make a profit from the fostering services they deliver. As a not-for-profit fostering agency in Kent, we are different. We don’t have the distraction of commercial considerations here at Diagrama Fostering Kent. We are a progressive, caring and child-focused agency that is part of a wider charity. We make training and supporting our foster carers in Kent our priority - because we know foster carers who have confidence in their ability to care for children are most likely to provide a home where vulnerable children and young people can truly thrive. Kent is home to many of our foster carers and social work team. Diagrama’s Adoption and Fostering Team Manager Margaret Gardiner is also Kent-based. As a foster carer herself, you can watch a video about Margaret’s experiences here.

Why Kent foster carers choose Diagrama as their fostering agency

All about people

Unlike other foster agencies in Kent we’re not about profits. The children and foster carers always come first and surplus funds are put back into supporting you. Our foster carers are well rewarded for their amazing work but no one is here to ‘make money’ out of foster care.

Expert guidance

Across Kent, we provide 24/7 expert support to our incredible foster carers. This includes 1-2-1 support, support from and links to other foster carers and ongoing expert specialist foster care training on specific issues to give you confidence so the children in your care can thrive.

We’re always there

Diagrama is a large charitable organisation based in Chatham, and covering the South East. We’re small enough for you and the children in your care to really matter but big enough to deliver exceptional fostering support. You’ll never struggle to get hold of us.

‘You just need to be willing to open your home up’

Diagrama Fostering placed a seven-year-old boy with Nic and Chris Kimmance from Ashford in Kent last year.

The couple, who have two daughters, responded to a huge growth in demand for foster carers during and after the pandemic.

They’re the first to admit it wasn’t without its challenges at first but, with Diagrama’s guidance and through their own personal motivations, they have settled their foster child into their loving home.

Could you step up and help vulnerable children needing fostering care in Kent?
